The Legacy of the Sadanand House

It is a heritage building of 1925 built, expanded in 1955 and finally renovated and restored between the years 2005 to 2015.
The original owners of this house virtually built the village around this house with their philanthropic activities.
They formed a co-operative movement to help the women folk earn money in processing coir and coir products.
The matriarch of the house conducted religious discourses on the Bhagwad Gita and the Ramayana for the benefit of the local villagers.
They started a bank to help the villagers take small loans for installing coir processing machinery in their homes as well as for homestead farming to sustain themselves.

Later in the year 1973 the premises was converted into a cocoa farm where cocao beans were being processed and sold to Cadbury.
